Cut Copy Paste

On Monday and Tuesday me and collage artist/illustrator Emily Evans ran workshops along side LBB with children from a local centre. We will be curating zines made from the children's work from these workshops and the other workshops they did. Plus we will be creating an exhibition of the work which will be in Dalston Library soon.
On Monday I was teaching the children how to playfully merge text with image to create interesting illustrations.

And on Tuesday Emily was teaching the children how to use the library and its resources to create personal collages.

Carfumes

I'm running an After School Zine Club called Carfumes at the Jester Jacques Gallery Pop-Up shop which will be at Boxpark on Wednesday 20th 6.30pm – 9pm.

The night is about re-branding all of our favourite perfumes for a laugh. Think Dolce and Gabana it's now Dolce and Banana....

Through illustration and witty copywriting help create a Zine – all in the name of silly.

My Phone Hates Me 5

I send so many stupid autocorrected texts, my phone really does hate me.

This series is now upto the fifth issue and I still can't send proper texts. Everyone who has read the previous zines and this one have laughed the whole way through and then questioned what each text was meant to say. Some of them I'm not even sure what I was trying to say let alone how my phone autocorrects most words, but there are a few funny examples..

4 police vans at euston wonder eggs go = 4 police vans at euston wonder whats up
low dying hair pub in a pub = now dying hair pub in abit
pick up oboe iam bored = pick up phone I am bored.

Zine fair

Yesterday at The Amersham Arms. I shared my table with the SW Zine Collective.
I met some amazing people, sold some zines. I also got some great feedback on my zines and suggestions/improvments for future zines.

Zine Festival

Me and my zines are going to be at the South East London Zine Festival on the 11th November. From noon till 6pm at The Amersham Arms in New Cross.

My Phone Hates Me 4

The fourth in the My Phone Hates Me series, filled with my most recent absurd autocorrected texts I have sent.

Both funny and weird, this is for those of you who have an Iphone. You love it to bits and yet it hates you, its sole purpose it to make you seem stupid. I am forever sending mispelt texts thanks to my phone and I have illustrated some of my favourite and most unusual. There is no indication as to what the texts should have been, it is up to the reader to try and figure that out. But one example is “Hellish Hellish” that was me trying to text the word Hello except I just kept sending the word Hellish over and over.

Magazine and zine

I'm excited to share that issue 4 of Plog magazine has some of my work featured in it. I got myself a copy at the Pick me up fair and the quality of the whole magazine is really impressive.

And I've illustrated a story for Bad Roommate zine, all I can say is that it is about rice...

 The Mallades. It started with me reading an article about ducks and their odd behaviour...

"The strange case of the homosexual necrophiliac duck pushed out the boundaries of knowledge in a rather improbable way when it was recorded by Dutch researcher Kees Moeliker."

The title is a pun on the fact this makes ducks seem somewhat ill. Mallard is the name for ducks and the french word malade means to be ill, mashed together makes The Mallades.
